Together, we can achieve these #CommonGoals
Today, high-speed internet is central to the basic functions of families, students, and businesses. Small businesses often cannot exist without it. Access to health care often depends on it. Yet across our state, thousands of our neighbors lack any internet provider in their area and many more are trapped with only one – often unreliable, expensive, and slow – option.
Public schools are the backbone of our nation’s economic, political, and social health. No institution impacts families more than the local school system. We must guarantee early childhood education for every person in this country. We must create educational environments that adapt to student learning styles while still ensuring that kids are making progress. We must guarantee that qualified students can attend college and technical schools without the burden of large debts.
Everyone needs access to affordable, quality health care. There is no peace of mind if you cannot afford to care for yourself, a sick child, or a family member. No one should have to make a decision between putting food on the table and going to the doctor or filling a prescription.
Cannabis should be legalized for medical and social use. Those who’ve been subject to unjust incarceration should be released, and all criminal records in regards to cannabis expunged. To make it feasible for our family farmers to cultivate cannabis as a cash crop.
